Cussin' Bootz II: R.A.T.S. High Score Contest Contest Rules (the "Contest")

This Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Québec) and is governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of the province of Alberta.

No purchase necessary to enter. See below for full Contest rules. Participation in this Contest constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of these rules.

Contest Period

1. The Contest begins Fri, 08 Aug 2025 06:00:00 GMT and ends Tue, 23 Sep 2025 05:59:59 GMT.

How to Enter

2. No purchase necessary to enter. To participate:
   1. Enter your nickname and email address where prompted
   2. Play the R.A.T.S. game (the "Game") as many times as you like
   3. At the end of each run through the Game, your score will be submitted

3. Your submitted nickname must comply with the following specifications (the "Nickname Specifications"):

   1. Consist of only letters and numbers;
   2. Be between 3 and 20 characters long, inclusive;
   3. Not be explicit, offensive, obscene, or profane, and must not be derogatory toward any ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, profession, or age group, or promote any activities that may be unsafe or dangerous, as determined by the Organizers, in their sole and absolute discretion;
   4. Not violate the rights of any third party, including, but not limited to copyright. For example, your nickname must not defame, infringe or violate publicity or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person's, entity's or organization's personal or proprietary rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights. For greater certainty, your nickname must not contain trademarks, logos, or trade dress owned by anyone other than the Organizers, or advertise or promote any brand or product of any kind, without express, written, prior permission of the trademark or brand owner;

   The Organizers reserve the right to nullify any entry that does not comply with the Nickname Specifications. Nicknames that do not comply with the Nickname Specifications will be replaced with an anonymous placeholder nickname.

4. If your submitted nickname appears – within reason – to be in violation of Canadian law, the contest organizers are compelled to report the entry to the appropriate authorities.
5. Evidence of tampering with either the Game or the scoring submission process will result in the nullification of each affected entry and, at the discretion of the Organizers, the forfeiture of any prizes won by the affected entrants.

Winner Selection

6. On September 1st, 2025, the contest organizers will select the top five (5) valid scores submitted by entrants (the "Candidate Winners"), in descending order of score. The odds of winning depend both on the number of entrants and the entrant's skill at the game.

   1. Only one (1) prize will be awarded per entrant.
   2. In the event of a single entrant having multiple winning scores, they will be awarded the prize for their highest score, and subsequent scores will be forfeited. For example, if Candidate Winner has the top two scores they will be awarded the first place prize, and the second place prize will be awarded to the Candidate Winner with the next highest score, and so on.
   3. In the event of a tie in score between distinct entrants, the entrant with the earlier submission will be preferred. For example, if two Candidate Winners both score 100 points, and 100 points is the highest score, the entrant with the earlier submission will be the Candidate Winner for the rank under consideration, and the other entrant will be the Candidate Winner for the next rank if there is one.

7. Before the final winners (the "Winners") are declared, the Organizers will contact each Candidate Winner to inform them of their eligibility using the email address provided when entering the contest. Candidate Winners must respond to confirm their eligibility within 24 hours of being contacted. If a Candidate Winner does not respond within 24 hours, the prize will be forfeited and a new Candidate Winner will be selected from the remaining entrants, in descending order of score.

   If a Candidate Winner: (i) cannot be contacted using the email address provided when entering the contest; (ii) does not respond within 24 hours of being contacted; (iii) does not confirm their eligibility; (iv) has been found to have made multiple entries in an attempt to circumvent the Contest Rules; or (iv) is otherwise unable to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited and a new Candidate Winner will be selected from the remaining entrants, in descending order of score.

   Once all Candidate Winners have been contacted and have confirmed by email, the Organizers will award the prizes to the Candidate Winners (thereby, Winners), and announce the Winners on the contest website.

   1. 1st Place Prize: There is one (1) 1st place prize consisting of one (1) Cussin' Bootz II Album on Vinyl, one (1) Cussin' Bootz Hoodie, one (1) Cussin' Bootz Sticker Pack, one (1) The Collected Comics of Wil Pratt. Approximate value: CA$155.00.
   2. 2nd Place Prize: There is one (1) 2nd place prize consisting of one (1) Cussin' Bootz II Album on Vinyl, one (1) Cussin' Bootz T-Shirt. Approximate value: CA$100.00.
   3. 3rd Place Prize: There is one (1) 3rd place prize consisting of one (1) Cussin' Bootz II Album on Vinyl, one (1) Cussin' Bootz Sticker Pack. Approximate value: CA$75.00.
   4. 4th Place Prize: There is one (1) 4th place prize consisting of one (1) Cussin' Bootz II Album on CD, one (1) Cussin' Bootz Sticker Pack. Approximate value: CA$45.00.
   5. 5th Place Prize: There is one (1) 5th place prize consisting of one (1) Cussin' Bootz II Album on CD. Approximate value: CA$30.00.

   All physical prizes will be shipped to the winner at the expense of the contest organizers. A valid delivery address must be provided by the winner, and must be within Canada (excluding Québec).

9. The contest organizers reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable for any reason.

General

10. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of the Organizers with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.
